Someone asked me recently where they might find cedar in the area in which I live. Cedar needs plentiful moisture so it is not the most common evergreen in this part of the Rockies. You can find it in deep valleys but a search is required. I wondered what it is about Cedar, when we have other equally beautiful Junipers , Spruce, Firs, Hemlocks and Pines a plenty to choose from for our Christmas greenery!
