This year is weird or, should I just say, showing clear signs of climate change. A few years ago, January was the month we would expect temperatures as low as -35C. The forecast for this January does not show daytime temperatures below freezing for the entire month. Of course the forecast might change and we still have all of February and March to come. However these recent weather patterns are far removed from those we are accustomed to.
