I am a little late this week with new blooms as there are a lot to get out and see, more in the wild garden really and they are too lovely to miss. Once the real heat arrives, wild flowers will retreat and our cosseted cultivated varieties will shine.

New or more plentiful (in addition to those mentioned over the last few weeks) in my garden this week:

‘Austrian Copper’, non recurrent rose, Rosa Foetida Bicolor (Austrian Copper)

Planted in an out of the way spot she makes her presence known poking through the fence!

One lone Lemon Scented Daylily – deer ate the rest. I say I will move them every year and then don’t!! A flower on Hens and Chicks, Sempervivum tectorum
