In a Vase On Monday, January 20, 2025

Having missed last week due to other demands, I really wanted to keep going this week with something, almost anything to just keep going with flowers from my garden. With a thick layer of icy snow and cold temperatures, -20C, I headed into the cold greenhouse to see what I could possibly use from the dried remnants of summer.

So here is a bundle of dried lavender , ‘Munstead’ variety that withstands the winter very well. Tied and placed in clear vase to collect the shedding florets, it works to add a little summer fragrance to the room.

I am so looking forward to the bulbs emerging from their winter imprisonment in the dark cold garage where hopefully flowers are developing nicely for an imminent reveal.

For living winter flowers from more temperate climes, head over to ‘Rambling in the Garden’ where Cathy hosts In a Vase On Monday.

The sheaf of lavender is a great reminder of summer. Smart to catch the falling flowers inside the vase.

Not sure if my comment went through Jenny. Lovely to see some lavender. 😃
