Wow, one week into July already. It is true that time rolls by faster the older you become!
I have very contrasting items today for’ ‘In a Vase’. The first ‘Pretty In Pink‘, contains mostly biennial Sweet William, Dianthus barbatus , annuals Orlaya and Ammi Majus plus a deep crimson Dahlia, the name of which is a mystery. Oregano and Yarrow act as fillers.I happened to have yet another Marketplace find for a vase with the appropriate colour.
I couldn’t resist this for fun.. I had my last peony bloom in the kitchen along with a broken rose and a sprig of Baptisia (looks like Lupin). The rose succumbed as did the Baptisia. I am garden minding for my daughter, so rather than throw out the peony bloom that is seemingly lasting forever, I picked her last ‘Etoh’ Peony and a few of her incredible little orange roses producing.
