Summer Shadows

A colorful bouquet of flowers, including pink and orange blooms, arranged in a decorative vase on a dark round table.

Some of the last flowers to cast their shadows as the days get shorter. Blooming long into fall assuming as we don’t receive a hard frost is the lovely Cosmos, last Zinnias and the sparkly Panicum ‘Frosted Explosion’. Also tucked in there is a Snapdragon, Antirhinum and Yarrow, Achillea millifolium.

Following with a repeat performance of the grasses. Purple Maiden Grass, Miscanthus purpurea, Panicum ‘Frosted Explosion and Bunny Tails, Lagurus

A decorative vase filled with tall grasses, including _Panicum 'Frosted Explosion'_, with rounded ornamental stones at the bottom.

Happy Autumn/Fall everyone.

Say hello to Catherine at Rambling In the Garden. She makes this sharing of our flowers possible and it is so much fun. Thanks Catherine.

That’s lovely Jenny. The Panicum makes everything sparkle! Love the biwl shaped vase too. I think I might pick most of my remaining Cosmos tomorrow too before the cold wind and rain finishes them off!

Thank you Cathy. Still reaching 24C in the pm with clear skies, quite amazing that we have not had a frost! I know it will be here though, very soon.

Your blooms are set off perfectly by the gorgeous Frosted Explosion – I must try again with that next year. And your vase with just grasses is stunningly but simply elegant 👍
