In a Vase, Monday November 10

Well, I am feeling renewed after the 80th birthday is over! Now on to the ninth decade. I dreaded this last one arriving as I did my 60th but now it is over and done with, I feel relieved. My daughter provided a lovely family get together and the beautiful flowers from my little brother, that I could never grow, are still providing joy.

A vibrant floral arrangement featuring pink orchids, white calla lilies, and greenery in a glass vase on a wooden table, accompanied by greeting cards and a colorful framed artwork in the background.

Believe it or not, I was able to rescue still, a few more tiny blooms from the garden last week. and for Remembrance Day in the Gallery I could not resist these gorgeous Gerberas in the supermarket.

Ivy, Hedera baltica, Costemary, Marigold, Calendula, Cedar and Symphoricarpos ‘Marleen‘, I think!

A floral arrangement featuring red Gerbera daisies and greenery in a decorative bowl, placed on a stack of books titled 'Botanica's Roses' and 'Great World Atlas' on a patterned tablecloth.
A vibrant bouquet of red Gerbera daisies, blue flowers, and greenery arranged in a decorative manner on stacked books, set against a cozy living room backdrop.

Purchased Gerberas, with Juniper, and Ivy interspersed with dried purple Statice.

In these difficult and divided times flowers continue to provide me with the constant beauty, symbols of remembrance and resiliency that I hope will drive us forward to a more peaceful world. I was born at the end of the second world war and have lived in the best of times. May we have more ‘best of times’.

Thank you to Cathy of ‘Rambling In The Garden’ for providing delightful peeks into other’s floral delights as well as her 624 vases! CONGRATULATIONS Cathy!

Oh, congratulations Jenny! And glad you celebrated well with family. 🎂🎈 The little treasures from your garden really are a wonderful ‘gift’ and those Gerbera were so worth it, jazzing up your greenery. Lovely flowers and lovely sentiments too. Let’s hope for more peaceful times.

Wishing you a belated Happy Birthday Jenny! It sounds as if your special day was filled with fun and flowers. What a beautiful gift from your brother and such lovely flowers in your vases. What especially caught my eye was the painting/print on the wall 😍

Thank you. Yes, that lovely painting was one of Elaine Alfoldy’s a local artist who loves flowers.
