Toronto is snowed in and the grass is still frozen green here! Ah weather! My offering this week is the amazing Amaryllis with a split stem. It is difficult to see in the photo but the stem of this white Hippeastrum is split. I did not think it would make it to bloom but it did. Plants are so clever at healing themselves.
I like to think this plant represents the power of healing in a world split in many ways.
This little collection of forced bulbs faces the dry and frozen back garden. It gives me hope.
My condolences to the citizens of the United States.

Thank you Cathy of Rambling In the Garden and all those who contribute to her blog for keeping us grounded in the natural world.
