We had one day of above freezing temperatures and some RAIN!! The beautiful fluffy white snow is now glazed with a hard skin of ice. Hoping for more snow to freshen things up this week.
Is anyone else ready for bulbs?! I have one Amaryllis, Hippeastrum almost ready to bloom but the rest will be a few weeks yet, so here we go with a few more winter and Christmas arrangements.
This one ‘Twiggy’ is just that, a collection of lichen covered twigs and such from the forest, representing the winter landscape. Bare Larch, Larix branches, Wild Red Osier Dogwood, Cornus sericea Dead Douglas Fir Pseudotsuga menziessii branches, Wild Rosehips and Wild White Snow Berries, Symphoricarpos albus, Spruce Picea cones, bark Wolf Lichen, Letharia and others

This one looks a little bland today but is destined to have a few white or cream carnations to tone with the beeswax candle, when I can get to the supermarket! It contains Larch, Larix twigs, Juniper, Juniperus scopolorum, Western Red Cedar, Thuja plicata, and Douglas Fir, Pseudotsuga menziessii , dried orange rings and cinnamon bark.

I am missing my Google Pixel phone, which died and which took such good photos, so hopefully I will get my new one to replace it, this week! The old ipad just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Take it easy this week and hope you can take in some forest bathing to easy the craziness of this upcoming festive season.
