We have been fortunate to enjoy a beautifully warm September, the downside being little to no rain. We still have not had a frost so there are many lingering but sparse blooms in the garden. The leaves are also quickly turning as their light hours are depleting but there are also some trees equally confused by the warm temperatures and are stubbornly remaining green.
Today’s vase celebrates the changing season with fall favourites.
Frequently called the Outhouse Plant, yellow Rudbeckia lacienata, Fall Monkhood, Aconitum carmichaelii ‘Arendsii’ , Burning Bush, Euonymus alatus, Stonecrop, now known as Hylotelephium ‘Autumn Joy’ , Scabious Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Fata Morgana’ , Fall/new England Aster, Symphyotrichum novi-belgii, rose hips and Marigold Tagetes.
