Happy Mother’s Day, yesterday, to all the Mothers on this side of the Atlantic. My full admiration goes also to all those who manage to blog several times a week! I am afraid the last few weeks I have become slow at getting to the computer but with the garden now, I think, back under control after all the spring removals and relocations I should be able to put more thought into recording the ‘goings on’.
With the tulips now in bloom, it is hard to pick a favourite so this week’s simple arrangement is a few tulips from the garden. Red fringe tulip goes by the name of ‘Bendigo’, the pink’ ‘Crown Dynasty’, unopened ‘Black Hero’, pink fringe is ‘G’DayMate’, purple ‘Tahitian Sunset’.
Why is there one large marble in the vase? Because I dropped in a large one for a change only to quickly discover the vase is narrower in the bottom than the top. It is stuck. Any remedies would be welcome. I have tried oil and dish soap, hot and cold water but to no avail.
