Victoria long weekend here, first day of real camping season and it has rained most of the last three days. The gardeners are happy though as maybe it will hold off drought for a bit longer.
The garden foliage is growing a pace but the babies are all at a standstill as the nights are still cool. The tulips are fading and I’m waiting for the next burst of colour. This week’s vase contains what is in flower, Clematis alpina, Alpine clematis, Euphorbia polychroma, Cushion Spurge, Nepeta, Catmint, Lunaria, Money Plant or Honesty, Doronicum, Leopards Bane, Lamium galeobdolon Yellow Archangel and some Dwarf Iris

I love the Alpine Clematis. Mine volunteer all over the garden in shades of white, pink and blue. I have a pink one climbing the pink flowering Crab Apple tree.
As a little extra I used a broken dwarf purple Iris, Iris pumila with some Pulmonaria, Lungwort and a few twigs from Harry – ‘Harry Lauder’s Walking Stick’ Corylus avellana ‘Red Dragon’. Never waste a broken flower!

I hope you are able to pop over to ‘Rambling In The Garden’ where Cathy hosts ‘In a Vase On Monday’. You will find many other beautiful flowers from around the world.
